Disney World During June

June marks the official beginning of summer at Disney World. Even though EPCOT’s Flower and Garden festival is winding down, there will still be tons of fun happening all over Disney World.

Magical Happenings

  • Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival will end on June 3, 2019. Download your festival planning passport right here: FLOWER AND GARDEN passport. You still have a couple of days in June to enjoy this amazing festival.
  • Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration is going on now through September 2019.
  • H2O Glow Nights is BACK! Return to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. This is a special event and you have to purchase a separate ticket to participate, but it’s tons of fun! Dates for H2O Glow Nights are as follows: June 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 22, 27 and 29, 2019; July 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25 and 27, 2019; August 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22 and 24, 2019.

Weather In June

Oh, that wonderful Florida sunshine!! Did I really say “wonderful Florida sunshine”? It is pretty nice, but it will be pretty hot also! Stay hydrated and take breaks during the day. We enjoy hitting the resort pools during the hottest part of the day, then heading back to the park for some nighttime fun.

Summertime also brings evening showers and storms, so be prepared for some rain on your park days.

Crowds In June

Most schools are officially all on summer break by now. The last couple of years have seen lighter crowds during the summer. Will this year follow suit? We feel that it could go either way. Star Wars Land will be opening in late August. The summer could see lighter crowds with everyone wanting to visit later in the year for the new land, or crowds could be heavier due to everyone wanting to avoid crowds that Star Wars Land will bring! I guess we will just have to wait and see!#waltexpress #disneyworld #disneyinjune disney world during june
