Disney World’s Magical Express Will No Longer Be Available in 2022

Disney World’s Magical Express will no longer be available to Disney Resort hotel guests beginning January 1, 2022. Why we are sad to see it go but excited for the new things to come.

What is Disney World’s Magical Express?

Disney’s Magical Express Service is a transportation service for Disney Resort hotel guests from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to their Disney Resort hotel. All via motor coach. Reservations are required to use this service. Magical Express service will continue to be complementary to all Disney Resort guests who will be traveling to Disney World through December 31, 2021.

Many guests have used Disney’s Magical Express over the years. For many, this was just another part of their family’s vacation memory. You show up at Orlando International Airport. Find your spot in line at Disney’s Magical Express pick-up. Board the motor coach and then off you go to start your Disney World vacation. It is really the beginning of a great vacation. Guests sit back, relax, watch Disney short videos, answer fun trivia while being swept off to their Disney Resort hotel. 

New Transportation Options

Disney World has mentioned that there will be more options to choose from for transportation to and from Orlando International Airport (MCO). Ride-share services being one of them. The full details are still yet to come.

A high-speed train service between Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Disney Springs has been announced. However, it is unclear if this will take the place of Disney’s Magical Express or if this train will even be a transportation option for guests who are traveling to a Disney Resort hotel. 

While we are sad to see Disney’s Magical Express service come to an end in 2022, we are also excited for the new things Disney World will make available.

Keep Moving Forward with Disney World’s Magical Express

In the words of Walt Disney himself “Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious…and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
