This is HUGE news and we want you to be in the know! Are you as excited as we are about this news?
Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park will both reopen to California Residents only on April 30th. Favorite attractions at both parks, including thrilling adventures at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and The Incredicoaster. Who can forget those family classics such as Peter Pan’s Flight and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree? New Magic will be unveiled! The reimagined Snow White’s Enchanted Wish will be open to guests for the very first time.
Favorite Disney Characters will pop up in new ways! Sometimes you may find them in unexpected places, as they remain mindful of physical distancing. Experiences that draw large group gatherings such as parades and nighttime spectaculars will return at a later date.
Health & Safety Guidelines
As we have seen at Disney World, safety guidelines will be in place. Face Coverings, temperature checks and enhanced cleaning can be expected. Limited park capacity will also be in place. This is following government requirements. Signage, ground markings and physical barriers will be in place to assist with social distancing.
Park Pass Reservations
A Park Pass Reservation along with a valid theme park ticket will be required for entry. Theme park reservations will be limited and subject to availability. At this time, new ticket sales have been temporarily paused. Disneyland will release additional details on when ticket sales will resume soon. Until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks, in line with current state guidelines.
Disneyland guests will soon have the opportunity to stay in the middle of the magic once again as Hotels of the Disneyland Resort begin a phased reopening. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa plans to reopen on April 29, with limited capacity. Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel will reopen at a later date. Disney Vacation Club Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will plan to reopen May 2.
Downtown Disney District
Downtown Disney is NOW OPEN to guests. Unique eateries, upscale shops (including World of Disney), along with some exciting entertainment are now available for guests enjoyment. All safety guidelines are in place here as well. Be sure to check your Disneyland App for operating hours.
It is strongly recommended that you have the latest version of the Official Disneyland app on your mobile device before you visit. Be sure location services and notifications are enabled. This App will be helpful in many ways during your Disneyland visit. You will be able to place Mobile Orders, get important details and information such as park hours, schedules for shops, dining locations and more.
You will also be able to make dining reservations as well as join a mobile dine walk-up list for select table service restaurants. This will come in handy if you did not make a dining reservation before arriving. Keep in mind that walk-up is subject to availability.
